1 package Devil's Food Cake Mix
1 1/3 cups Buttermilk
1/2 cup of Oilerie Vanilla EVOO (great with 1/4 cup Vanilla EVOO and 1/4 cup Roasted Almond Oil)
3 eggs
2 T Red food coloring
Oilerie Red Raspberry Balsamic Sauce
Vanilla Ice Cream
Oilerie 25 year Balsamic Vinegar
Preheat oven to 350. Place paper liner cups in your muffin tins.
Combine cake mix, buttermilk, oil, eggs and food coloring and beat until thoroughly mixed.
Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter in each muffin cup (Batter makes 24 cupcakes) and bake for 18-22 minutes. Cool completely.
Assemble dessert... Place a generous spoonful of Balsamic Sauce on each plate and spread to cover plate. Cut cupcakes in half and place two to three on top of sauce. Add a scoop of ice cream on top of the cupcakes. Finish by drizzling with Balsamic Vinegar.
This recipe is a sweet treat. It's so easy to make and the presentation is great! If you prefer cherry flavor over raspberry - we've got you covered. Use Oilerie Cherry Balsamic Sauce instead. It's great with your favorite brownie recipe as well. You can always jazz up a box brownie mix when substituting the requested vegetable oil with Oilerie Vanilla EVOO, Oilerie Roasted Walnut Oil or Roated Almond Oil. Enjoy!
